Phew. The Bloggernacle came through in the end. After a Holy Week full of posts about Schiavo, nudity, Cain, Dilbert, Yoga, Mother Earth, Polygamy, and John Widstoe, there were a few posts about Easter. Congratulations to:
Last time I talked a little bit about the roll of genetics and environment in terms of our questioning of what a soul is. I also discussed the old Jewish notion of nefesh which can mean life in its full sense rather than a soul as a kind of substance. I suggested that it is this notion of soul as living that seems to best fit LDS notions. What I want to talk about now are a few of the common criticisms regarding a soul in a Mormon context.
Another week has come and gone. It was hard to overlook the fact that the Bloggernacle completely ignored the 175th anniversary of the printing of the Book of Mormon and the 169th anniversary of the Kirtland Temple dedication this week. Oh well. Still, here are some highlights from last week:

Okay, so that’s only two posts, but until the rest of you all start making arts and culture posts, two will equal a trend here at Bloggernacle A&E (not that I mind the lack of competition). (more…)
