Write-up on Steve Jones and 9/11 Conspiracies

Interesting (to me at least) write-up on Steve Jones and the whole 9/11 Conspiracy movement. Whether one agrees with Jones or not (and at this stage I think his views are pretty well refuted) the groups he’s associating with seem more than a tad scary. It kind of bothers me that BYU’s name gets drug into all this as well. Much worse, as I see it, than the Nielsen kerfuffle.

The Mormon History Association, via Sunstone, is now selling session recordings of its recent conference in Casper on DVD, CD, MP3, and cassette (8-track not available).  One can purchase individual sessions or opt for the entire conference on CD or DVD.

MO Mormon Experience – academic conference announcement

By dictum of House Resolution 207 of the Missouri General Assembly, a two day academic conference will be held in commemoration of the 30th anniversary of Governor Bond’s repeal of the infamous extermination order and the 175th anniversary of the church’s establishment in the state. The conference will be held in the State Capitol building in Jefferson City September 7th and 8th and will include several notable scholars. (more…)
