  1. Thanks, J. I hope that BYU and BYU-I will continue to place more and more speeches online. It’s fascinating to hear the voices of George Albert Smith, John A. Widtsoe, and Matthew Cowley, all of whom I had never heard speak until recently.

  2. Agreed. I wonder how far back the recordings of general conference go. They began to be brodcast in the 1920′s. I don’t know if they were recorded or not, but I would love to listen to those old addresses.

  3. This is only a small subset of what BYU-Idaho has had up in the past. Much of it is down now. They have audio files going back to the 70s here. You used to be able to access just about all of that but not now.

And they only put up the files in .wma format too. You have to have a converter program to put them into mp3 or AAC format. BYU-I seems to be afraid of doing things in mp3 format.

BYU-Hawaiii has even less material up and it’s all in Real format for the most part. LDS Business College has recorded some things as well, but never has put them up. The old ‘LDS Radio Network’ before it was handed over to BYU and renamed BYURadio, broadcast a couple of these.
