  1. Nice job, you two. Just what the doctor ordered.

  2. Given Steve’s anticipated exile may I suggest that Adam and Sumer carry on without him? I think those two could put together quite a show.

This was the best one yet. I am shocked, SHOCKED at how warm and funny Mr. Greenwood is. I was laughing out loud. Great job guys, a classic.

  4. Very nice job, guys. Very nice.

  5. Shooting’s more humane than trapping, that’s what I always say.

  6. What’s the music at the end of the broadcast?

I enjoyed the interview. Mr. Greenwood has a mellifluous voice.

    Comment by Justin — November 1, 2005 @ 5:18 pm

  7. Justin: The music at the end is “Pissing in the Wind,” by Badly Drawn Boy. Terrific choice, I must say.

By the way, fans of BoH would LOVE the documentary, “They Shoot Movies, Don’t They?” Here’s the imdb site (though I suggest you see the film first, and read about it later): http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0303141/

  8. Thanks, Greg. I was hoping for some Meshuggah, but I suppose BDB will do.

  9. I’m just glad that the two of you decided to zeitcast your zeitpearls before us, the zeitswein.

    Comment by Kaimi — November 1, 2005 @ 5:37 pm

  10. Hah! I always knew I liked Adam and Matt best! However, Steve told me I’d eventually come around to liking him best too! Between this zeitcast and the Bannergate debacle I have to admit he’s right!

Great Zeitcast guys! Heh, I think you might be real!

    Comment by chronicler — November 1, 2005 @ 6:02 pm

  11. Best. Zeitcast. Ever.

This is a great return to form. I can’t believe how young Adam sounds. I guess in my mind he always sounded about 60.

    Comment by NFlanders — November 1, 2005 @ 6:02 pm

  12. I can’t believe this is Adam. This isn’t how he sounds in my head. I refuse to believe. (Kinda like how I also refuse to believe that Kaimi’s first name has three syllables, rather than two, regardless what Steve Evans may say…).

  13. Chronicler, I always liked you best too, but couldn’t admit it until now.

    Comment by Steve — November 1, 2005 @ 6:36 pm

  14. I’ve also never understood why people “hate” Adam. He’s a great guy- although I have mostly gotten to know him vicariously through mutual friends.

    Comment by Jordan Fowles — November 1, 2005 @ 6:45 pm

  15. I thought Kaimi’s first name had five syllables?

    Comment by Adam Greenwood — November 1, 2005 @ 6:48 pm

  16. Nice work you two. Adam, you sound so reasonable on the Zeitcast! Next time you say something outrageous I’m going to listen to your voice before I respond ;)

  17. Thank the Lord for Steve Evans.

  18. Adam, you need to work in radio.

I want to know who’s getting interviewed next. I vote for Brian Gibson.

It’d really be something if you could get the Snarker.

  19. You did good, but damn, why are you quitting just when I started listening?

You guys are really smart and funny. I am a little lost and don’t get the curelom thing, but I wish you would continue. I understand if you’re having stress, but crum, I just figured out how to listen to it.

    Sigh….

    Comment by annegb — November 1, 2005 @ 10:47 pm

  20. Steve,
Don’t Quit! Unless, of course, you really want to.
Also, where is my mormon hoax post? Don’t you have an in with those Banner people?

    Comment by John C. — November 1, 2005 @ 10:49 pm

  21. Also, isn’t this a little too Miranda for you?

    Comment by John C. — November 1, 2005 @ 10:50 pm

  22. John C., I really want to — LOL re: Miranda.

The hoax post is coming soon, I think.

  23. This is the first podcast from any source that I’ve ever listened to, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. While you’ve both been known to us through the written word, I love the quick wits you both display—you’re fast on your feet!—and it seems to me that, like Nephi and Moroni judged of themselves, you’re both even mightier in speaking than you are in writing.

Makes me wish for real voices from the dust from Nephi and Moroni… Can’t help wondering if Joseph didn’t overlook a flash drive there in the box in Cumorah with some mp3s on it, it’d be easy to miss…

    Comment by Christian Y. Cardall — November 2, 2005 @ 7:13 am

  24. Hey, maybe the sealed portions were on flash drive too. This would resolve the issues about the weight of the gold plates.

    Comment by Adam Greenwood — November 2, 2005 @ 9:07 am

  25. This one sounds most like a radio interview than others to which I have listened?

    Comment by Kim Siever — November 2, 2005 @ 2:06 pm

  26. You can’t fool me Adam. I still hate you!

    Comment by Nate Oman — November 2, 2005 @ 3:50 pm

  27. Speaking of which, check your email.

    Comment by Adam Greenwood — November 2, 2005 @ 4:04 pm

  28. Absolutely fantastic. I knew how quick-witted Steve is, but I could only suspect that Adam was. It is nice to have proof of my suspicions. Whatever your intentions, this is what we need–this and for Steve not to quit, even if his life would be better if he didn’t blog.

    Comment by Jim F — November 2, 2005 @ 4:13 pm

  29. Did I understand you correctly, Jim F? We need Steve to blog even if it destroys his life? (actually, I understood you perfectly, and I’m just pulling your chain).

Good show, guys. I’m heartened to know that there is more than one “vest.”

    Comment by DKL — November 3, 2005 @ 2:45 am

  30. Steve and Adam, I’m impressed.

    Comment by Bob Caswell — November 4, 2005 @ 2:22 am

  31. Great conversation, gentlemen. I particularly enjoyed the epistemology of the vest. I’m sure the quest to find pictures of teenage Adam shirtless in his sequined vest is on (and I apologize in advance for the kind of Google traffic that sentence will drive to the Times).

And the others are right. Adam, you’ve got a great speaking voice.

    Comment by Chad Too — November 4, 2005 @ 7:44 am

  32. There are no photos. None. Don’t waste your time. Have you done your hometeaching yet this month? Read your scriptures? Wrote your journal? Taken out the trash? Nothing to see here, move along, move along.

    Comment by Adam Greenwood — November 4, 2005 @ 9:06 am

  33. 32
No photos??? One of our hallway “Exit” signs went missing on my floor in the BYU dorms and we were told we had 24 hours to find it or the floor’s party fund would pay for its replacement. Within those 24 hours, 3 different denizens “found” what they claimed to be the missing sign. I suggested that we hang them all together.

With today’s technology, I’m sure that likewise many photos of shirtless Adam in his vest will be “found” in the next few days. I likewise suggest that we hang them all together in a special posting. Any ideas about what else he will/won’t be wearing in these new discoveries?
